Milanto Randriamboavonjy is a student in Master of Science in Business Analytics, at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Geneva. In June 2020, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management with Management as orientation. During his BSc, he realized the importance of data and its magnitude in our daily life. Thus, he developed his passion for data. During the first part of his master, he worked on projects in different sectors related to predictive models, time series analysis and machine learning. He is currently in the next part of his training, and he is doing an internship at the Hôpital de La Tour as a Business Intelligence analyst, in parallel to his Master’s degree. This internship is not only an opportunity for him to apply his theoretical knowledge on data analysis but also to discover the complexity and sensitivity of data in the health sector. During this internship, he interacts with different actors to identify their needs, translate them into data, and develop indicators available to collaborators in the form of dashboards. He also participates in business intelligence development projects in the health sector. His master thesis is supervised by Prof Katarzyna Wac, and it will focus on the analysis of the architecture of data flows in the hospital, the conceptualization of the processes of the different care units (Mapping), and the modelling of patient flows in the different services.
