Ms Gerlinde Kristahn obtained her PhD at the Saarland University (Germany) in Cultural Studies and Intercultural Communication in 2016. After having completed her Masters Degree, she worked in Communication and Management for international companies and then as Lecturer and Research Associate for courses in Intercultural Communication and International Projects at the Geneva School of Business Administration HEG (Switzerland). Gerlinde’s current research interests focus on Quality of Life by bridging issues related to personal wellbeing with science and technology. Specifically, she investigates how yoga impacts people’s wellbeing and their quality of life combining qualitative methods and quantitative technology. Moreover, her research examines the integration of yoga into western societies and the ways in which people modify, adapt, and integrate it into their lives to cope with the challenges of life. Other related research domains she works on include cross-cultural training methods, intercultural coaching, and innovative teaching methods. Gerlinde is also a trained and practicing yoga teacher.
