Monika Kowalska is a psychologist with an MSc degree in Clinical Psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland). During her studies, she specialized in Clinical Sexology and conducted research on early childhood sexuality. In addition to her post-graduate training in Brief Solution-focused Therapy, Monika is pursuing a Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy (CBT) certification and a CAS-level diploma in Clinical Sexology at the University of Geneva (UNIGE). She is currently collaborating with the Quality of Life Lab as a research assistant on a project examining the factors influencing the use of mobile applications and services in the context of sexual health. Monika’s professional interests include the efficacy of CBT psychotherapy in addressing sexuality-related issues, neuroscience, and the use of altered states of consciousness in treating sexual health problems. In the future, Monika hopes to combine clinical work and research in the field of clinical sexology.
