Mr. Marios Fanourakis is a member of the Institute of Services Science at the faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of University of Geneva. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA), and a MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA, USA). During his undergraduate studies he was heavily involved in robotics, specifically: control circuits, control systems, and systems integration. For his MSc he focused more in speech processing and analysis, signal detection, and adaptive/distributed estimation and filtering. Currently, he is a Quality of Life research member and is involved in European projects (AAL CaMeLi, EU FP7 Miraculous Life). His interests include: sensor networks, distributed algorithms, pattern recognition, and machine learning. Mr. Marios Fanourakis has completed his PhD in November 2018.
